DKR Refrigerations creates space for focus and collaboration with LOUDR

DKR Refrigerations specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of refrigeration systems. From their offices in Kortrijk, a multidisciplinary team works together every day on technical projects for clients across a wide range of sectors. After a recent move and complete office redesign, DKR started looking for a smart way to also give meetings and one-on-one conversations a comfortable place within the open office. They found that solution with LOUDR.

Talking space and collaboration with DKR Refrigerations

We spoke with Quentin Kerckhove, Operational Manager at DKR Refrigerations, about their experience with the LOUDR pod.

What prompted you to look for an additional solution within your office?

We recently moved into these offices and had a completely new layout installed. There was one large meeting room, but we quickly noticed that we lacked space for short, informal meetings between colleagues. That need is what led us to choose LOUDR.

What concrete problems were you facing before the arrival of the LOUDR pod?

Every day, by different colleagues. To keep things organized, we even introduced a reservation system. That shows just how great the need for extra space was—and how welcome the pod is.

In which situations is the pod most useful?

We have one large meeting room that is mainly intended for meetings with clients and suppliers. The problem was that this space was also being used for individual Teams meetings or brief internal discussions. As a result, the meeting room was often fully occupied, even for small meetings.

What role does the LOUDR pod play today in solving that challenge?

The LOUDR pod provides a comfortable spot on the work floor where internal meetings can take place without having to occupy an entire meeting room.

At what moments and for which purposes is the pod used most?

The LOUDR pod is mainly used for internal project coordination, short meetings between colleagues and individual Teams meetings. In addition, it’s also ideal for phone calls that don’t need to be audible to everyone on the office island.

Which features of the LOUDR pod make the biggest difference for you?

The sound insulation is a major asset. Conversations can truly be held in private. On top of that, there’s the internet connection and power supply, which allow us to hold longer meetings with a laptop without any issues.
